Sean O'Hara

 
Master Sean O'Hara is a 6th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 2nd Degree black belt in Hapkido, and actively trains in arnis and bo staff.  He instructs in Taekwondo and Hapkido classes, and is a test examiner at JP Wood.  Master O'Hara is additionally an International Referee with Moo Do Won International.

Daniel Kelly
 
Master Kelly is a 5th degree black belt in Gumdo, 1st degree in Taekwondo, and actively trains in Hapkido, Arnis, Bo and Nunchucks. He is a Koryo Gumdo instructor, a member of the school's Honor Guard, a National referee with Moo Do Won International, and Samurang Games Grand Champion in forms. Outside of the school, he is the CFO of a contracting company.  He loves to travel with his wife, and loves animals....

Wendi Raker

Master Wendi Raker is a 5th degree Kukkiwon black belt in Taekwondo,  3rd degree black belt in Koryo Gumdo, and 1st degree black belt in Hapkido.  Master Wendi teaches Taekwondo, Dragons and Strength and Conditioning classes, as well as private lessons.  She is a Kukkiwon 3rd Class Master Instructor and Test Examiner, Partner Forms Gold Medalist at the Samurang Games, and an active National Referee with Moo Do Won Int'l and test examiner at JP Wood.  Both her sons are black belts and instructors on the GOLD Team Instructor program.

Chris Goeller

Master Chris Goeller is a 5th Degree Taekwondo Instructor at our school, former demo team member, and 1st Degree Gumdo black belt.  He instructs in Taekwondo classes and Preschool / Kindergarten activity classes.

​Larry Schumacher

​

Master Larry Schumacher is a 4th degree Kukkiwon black belt in Taekwondo.  He instructs Taekwondo classes, is a referee at the Samurang Games, and a test examiner at JP Wood.  Master Larry was an avid competitor years ago winning numerous competitions in forms and sparring. 

 

Master Schumacher is married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren and is a Deacon at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palatine.

Mary Lou Erickson

Master Mary Lou Erickson is a 4th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt in Taekwondo, 1st Degree in Gumdo, and actively trains in Hapkido.  She instructs in our Taekwondo and Dragon classes as well as private lessons. 

Master Mary Lou is a also member of our Referee and Examiner Team.  Outside of the school, she is an accomplished figure skater and instructs figure skating group and private lessons.

Lucas Raker

 
Master Lucas is a sophomore pre-physical therapy major in college and holds a Kukkiwon 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo.  He was a Taekwondo instructor during his high school years, and now he instructs when home on school breaks.
 
Master Lucas is also a member of the school's demonstration team, test examiner team and color guard.  He is Gold Medal Forms and Partner forms winner in the Samurang Games, as well as fast kicking Grand Champion.

Samantha Nieman

​

Master Sammy is a senior in college majoring in mathematics, and teaches at JP Wood when home on school breaks.  She is a 4rd degree Kukkiwon black belt in Taekwondo and teaches in the Taekwondo and Dragon classes.  She joined JP Wood's instructor team because she loves working with kids and tries to promote fun and good behavior when she teaches.

Miss Sammy is a Samurang Games Grand Champion in partner forms, and is on the school's demonstration team.

Joe Fountain

Mr. Joe Fountain is a Kukkiwon 3rd Degree Taekwondo Black Belt Assistant Instructor at JP Wood, and a sophomore at Palatine High School.  Joe has been a student at JP Wood since he was five years old.  He is a member of the Demonstration Team, has helped at numerous events and camps, and is a grand champion in self defense and jump high kick at the Samurang Games.  At Palatine High School, he is a member of the school's golf and basketball teams.

Shane Rasche
 
Mr. Shane Rasche is a Kukkiwon 3rd Degree Taekwondo Black Belt Assitant Instructor and a sophomore at Palatine High School.  Shane has been taking Taekwondo classes at J.P. Wood since he was a preschooler!  Shane is a member of the Demonstration Team, has helped at numerous events and camps, and is a grand champion in self defense at the Samurang Games.  At Palatine High School, Shane is a member of the football and lacrosse teams.

Greg Fountain

 

Mr. Greg Fountain is a Kukkiwon 2nd Degree Taekwondo Black Belt Instructor at JP Wood Martial Arts, and assists with our demonstration team.  Outside of the school, Mr. Fountain works in the telecommunication business.  He is married, and the father of our assistant instructor, Mr. Joe Fountain.

Finn Riley

Mr. Finn Riley is a 2nd Degree Kukkiwon Taekwondo Assistant Instructor at our school.   Additionally, he is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Gumdo.  Mr. Finn is a freshman at Palatine High School and a member of their debate and esports teams.  Additonally he enjoys bowling and 

 

Max Riley

 
Mr. Max is a 2nd Degree Kukkiwon Taekwondo Instructor and additionally holds a 1st Degree black belt in Gumdo.  He is a member of our demonstration team and Grand Champion in weapons forms at the Samurang Games.
 
Max is a junior at Palatine High School and a member of their Model US and Esports clubs, as well as an avid bowler.

Holly Rasche

Mrs. Holly Rasche is a 2nd Degree Taekwondo Instructor at our school, and her three children are also black belts at JP Wood.  

In her full time job, she is the System Director of Public Safety in the healthcare field, and an expert in emergency management and active shooting training. 

Mrs. Rasche is active in her children's activities, and coaches on a football and flag football team.  



 

Dylan Rauch

 
Mr. Dylan is a 1st Degree Kukkiwon Taekwondo Assistant Instructor.  He is a member of our demonstration team and Grand Champion in forms and jumping high kick at the Samurang Games.
 
Dylan is a junior at Fremd High School and a member of their baseball team.
